About
Some things are worth talking about. Even the uncomfortable ones.
The Problem
Approximately 16% of adults suffer from chronic constipation — and the real number is almost certainly higher. Because most people don't say anything. We'd rather spend $65 on a face serum than admit the actual problem is happening one floor below the bathroom mirror.
We've built an entire wellness industry around glowing skin, balanced hormones, and mental clarity — and somehow overlooked the one system they all run through. Your gut isn't a footnote. It is the root system. Everything else grows from there, or doesn't.
The Personal
My father was diagnosed with colon cancer.
He had no symptoms that registered as alarming. No pain. No dramatic warnings. Just years of a gut that never worked quite right — the kind of thing you adjust to, rationalize, and quietly live with. By the time anyone looked closely, it was advanced.
What undid me wasn't the diagnosis. It was realizing his gut had been sending signals for years. And that no one — not culture, not his doctors, not the wellness industry — had given him the language or the tools to listen.
I'm a finance analyst. I model risk for a living. The risk hiding in plain sight, for tens of millions of people, is that gut health gets treated as a punchline — and the consequences can be catastrophic.
LUMÉ started with my father. It was built for everyone who has quietly struggled, and never found something that felt designed for them.
The Solution
LUMÉ was built because the category deserved better. Not another bloating tea. Not a chalky fiber capsule. A daily ritual — formulated with clinical precision, designed with the same aesthetic consideration as the rest of your morning shelf.
LUMÉ is an act of love. For the gut no one talks about. For the people who deserve better language around their bodies. And, quietly, for my dad.
Beauty begins with balance. Balance begins with the gut.
